Hi, there! It is me Latoya from crochet queens 19! Welcome to my blog. I hope everyone is doing okay. This year has been a very tough year. The pandemic itself has had a major impact on several americans as well as other nations across the globe. People are now discovering that adults along with children and teenagers are experiencing depression and anxiety.
For me, this is very understandable. I have had an disorder called Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Best believe that anxiety comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes. I have been diagnosed with this since the age of fifteen. I am now 35, and will be 36 in March 2021. That seems to be a long time. In this post I want to list a couple of questions that I get from others.
What made you finally come to terms with your anxiety?
I seem to think that I have accepted that this is my normal. With Generalized Anxiety Disorder it seems that I worry about everything. I feel when I was a teenager my symptoms were a lot worst then they are now. I believe with a good support system, the right medicine, and therapy you can overcome.
What is your worst symptom of anxiety?
I feel my worst symptom of anxiety is the feeling of a knot in your stomach. This could be come with a sick feeling. I also will sweat and depending on the panic attack I also could hyperventilate.
What are some hobbies or activities for reducing anxiety?
This I feel, has several answers. I like to do crafting. I crochet, I also draw. Music could also be very beneficial. I now started to listen to calming sounds like the ocean, the wind. All I do is type meditation sounds in google and it pops out a huge list of calming sounds that can help reduce anxiety. I have a friend that has anxiety, and she likes to keep busy. She will clean her home squeaky clean!
I included a last question to this post.
How can you learn to get rid of your anxiety?
I hate to have bad news but the short answer is you can't. You can't rid your anxiety like a cold or flu, it is way different. Anxiety comes in different forms so each anxiety case can differ. I have accepted my anxiety but I do not let it defy me.
