Green and Minty Crochet Coaster
Materials: Red Heart Acrylic Yarn in green.
Soft thin cotton yarn (I do not know the brand by chance.)
Crochet hook size 5.0 MM hook
Yarn needle
Pair of Scissors
Make a slip knot and chain 6
Slip stitch into the 5th chain from the hook. Then Chain 2
Row 1: Do 1 HDC in the chain 2 space, then continue putting 1 HDC in each stitch around. (14 sts)
Row 2: Do * 2 HDC into the next stitch, 1 HDC in the next; repeat from * until the last stitch of the round. Slip stitch to join. Chain 2. (21sts)
Row 3: Do 1 HDC in the same chain as chain 2 space. Chain 1, * skip the next stitch, 2 HDC in the next stitch, chain 1, repeat*. (Row 3 pattern is 1 HDC, skip the next, 2 HDC in the next,) or < 1 HDC, Ch 1, skip next stitch, 2 HDC, Ch 1> Repeat.
Cut color A and weave in ends.
Picking up your mint color (Color B) make a slip knot and join to your work with a slip knot. Chain 3
Row 4: *2 HDC in the next ch 1 space from the previous row, ch 1; repeat from * 1 HDC in the last chain 1 space, slip stitch to join. Fasten off and weave in your ends.
You could make 2 or 3 more coasters and have a set to give to your family or friends for gifts.
